"Don't tell us to donate food, first tell your pastors"- Ykee Benda spits fire

Singer Wycliff Tugume alias Ykee Benda has fired back at social media in-laws who have been venting hostility at artistes for not donating to the Covid-19 campaign task force as it is the pastors to first contribute and then the entertainment industry will follow.

Given sections of fans have for the past days been piling pressure on artistes to contribute to the government program of supporting the vulnerable Ugandans in the wake of Covid-19.

According to the Kireka Boy, fans shouldn't hijack artistes for this noble cause without first considering the pastors who collect millions from the flock on a weekly basis yet they are currently in the hiding without any contribution to make.

He says artistes can donate if they have what to give and if they can't, let them be and use other channels like music to sensitise masses

"Before u pressure artists for not financially contributing to the COVID19 fight , please first pressure our dear pastors who collect millions every Sunday,we have a number of them not only Pastor Kayanja and Pastor Bujingo who have already contributed.
