Recently, it was reported how one of Uganda Cranes defenders who plays club football for KCCA had undergone a successful surgery on his leg, but now the sad news is of Abdul Lumala going through the same experience.
Abdul Lumala is a 22 year old attacking midfielder currently playing for Egypt's outfits Pyramids FC and joined the side in 2019 when the club was under the helm of former Uganda Cranes coach Desabre Sebastian after the AFCON 2019.

Lumala was very influential in Uganda Cranes' 2019 AFCON campaign where the team made it to the last sixteen for the first time in 41 years ago.
He has greatly played club football in Sweden, among other clubs he has played for includes Mjallby AIF, Kalmar FF, Varborgs BolS, Helsingborg IF... Sporting activities in Uganda are currently at a standstill due to the persistent COVID-19 pandemic that also led to the ending of the Uganda Premier League 2019/2020 season prematurely.
