Uganda Hippos Gear Up to Play CECAFA U-20 AFCON Qualifiers Finals Against Tanzania

Earlier in the day, Uganda U-20 national team "The Hippos" beat Kenya 3:1 in the semi finals to book a slot in the finals against Tanzania who later won 1:0 against South Sudan.

Ivan Bogere hit a brace with another goal coming from Kenneth Ssemakula to win it 3:1 for Uganda Hippos with Enock Wanyama pulling a consolation for the Kenyans.

Later in the dayat 3pm, Tanzania won 1:0 against South Sudan, thanks to a 58th minute goal from Kassim Haruna.

Both finalists, (Uganda and Tanzania) will represent the region (CECAFA) in the AFCON U_20 championship scheduled to take place in Mauritania between February and March.

The final game of the tournament as well as the third place play off will be played on Wednesday, 2nd December 2020.
