After a failed campaign in the CHAN tournament 2020 that is going on in Cameroon,Uganda Cranes contingent is set to return home on Saturday 30th January,2020.
The communications manager at FUFA Ahmed Hussein Marsha had this to tell the media fraternity..
"The Uganda Cranes team will return on Saturday morning (30th Jan 2021) aboard Ethiopian Airlines.
On a professional side, I thank you for the tireless efforts put in while covering the CHAN tournament. The news, debates, opinions and analysis about the tournament gave the public ' a feel at home' latest updates.
We now turn our attention to AFCON U20, FUFA Competitions, International matches and other FUFA activities/events".
Uganda Cranes only managed one point in three matches played in the group stages, a goalless draw with Rwanda in the opening match before two consecutive losses to Togo (2:1) and a 5:2 loss to defending champions Morocco in the final minutes.

Uganda now turn its attention to Africa Cup of Nations qualifications where they play Burkina Faso on 22nd March,2021 before taking on Malawi on 30th March the same year.
Burkina Faso leads group B after four matches with eight (8 points), Uganda is second with seven (7 points) whereas Malawi and South Sudan standing third and fourth with respective 4 and three points.
