SC Villa have gone to their social media platforms to inform their fans of how Uganda's football governing body FUFA has stopped their Club President elections...
The club posted: "The Club informs the general public that it has received a communication from FUFA halting the Electoral process which they had earlier on initiated by their Electoral committee. The letter from FUFA to the Club dated 4th November 2021, vide Reference No. FUFA/CLUBS/4/11/21 states in part"
“In order not to confuse the General Public and for the good intentions demonstrated by Sports Club Villa, by this letter and Notice, FUFA hereby halts the process by the FUFA Electoral Committee to organize the Elections of the Club.”
SC Villa have for good time lacked leadership since 2018 when Engineer Ben Emmanuel Misagga left the club. They have been under interim leadership and are looking to getting proper leadership but only for FUFA to stop them.
It should also be noted that the club's elections were meant to be staged in August this year but Nambalirwa Breda Kawuma stopped it through court when said there was irregularities in the elections committee.
Medard Lubega Ssegona and Dennis Mbidde Ssebugwawo were by then the two contestants but the return to club by Mandela Umar and Ben Emmanuel Misagga has added some heat in the Club elections.
