Uganda Cranes' Trip to United Arab Emirates Cancelled!

The football governing body of Uganda, Federation of Uganda Football Association FUFA has cancelled the Uganda Cranes trip to United Arab Emirates.

The FUFA website read this about the matter....

"FUFA has called off the Uganda Cranes trip to United Arab Emirates due to challenges with flight travel.

Logistically, the time available for arrangement of an alternative flight is not enough for the contingent to fly into UAE." FUFA said.

The National team-Uganda Cranes was due to fly out on Wednesday 29th December 2021 for two intentional matches against AFCON bound sides Gabon and Mauritania on 30th December 2021 and 2nd January 2022 respectively.

Recently, United Arab Emirates imposed a ban on flights from Uganda as a result of increasing numbers of new COVID-19 cases.

Uganda will however be conducting more preparations at home for the matches against Gabon and Mauritania.
