Pallaso Shuns Awards without Money After Winning Big at MTN Callertune Awards

The self proclaimed King of the East singer Pius Mayanja alias Pallaso has warned local award organisers against nominating him in awards that do not come with money.

The singer made the statements at the MTN CallerTunez Awards grand finale at the Kampala Serena Hotel on March 30 where he bagged the Best Male Accolade and for Malamu song in the Afrobeat/Afropop category alongside shs5.2Million cash prize.

With his Over The Top music career, the 'Mpa Love' singer has grown wings and no longer wants awards, which only come with saliva.

"Local Award organizers should take note and stop nominating me in awards where I gain nothing," Pallaso partly stated.

The grand finale of the MTN CallerTunez Awards followed a six-month period in which MTN awarded artistes with the most ring back tune downloads on a monthly basis, including lucky customers who were using the service.
