Police FC Unveils Angelo Lonyesi As Their New Head Coach

Few moments after wishing a good departure to former coaching staff of Abdullah Mubiru, John Ayala Luyinda and Richard Kansole, Police FC on Friday unveiled experienced tactician Angelo Lonyesi.

Part of the club press release read, “We are delighted to announce that inspector of police (IP) Angelo Lonyesi is our new head coach on a one year contract.”

“Lonyesi is a CAF A licensed coach with vast experience and has a rich background at police FC,” the statement continued.

Lonyesi is tasked with helping the 2005 Uganda Premier League champions return to the country’s top flight league having been relegated to FUFA Big League in the recently concluded league.

Lonyesi returns to a club which he coached in 2014 and the decision to bring him back was reached after a meeting held on 2nd June 2022 that was attended by club chairman RTD Asan Kasingye, Mr Rajan Livingston’s (chairman Technical) and RTD CP P.K Arinaitwe (C.E.O) in Katabi-Entebbe.
