VIDEO; King Saha Bitterly Attacks Hon. Asuman Basalirwa for Suggesting the Banning of Mayirungi in the Country

Mayirungi farmer, musician Mansoor Ssemanda has bitterly attacked and abused member of parliament for Bugiri Municipality, Hon, Asuman Basalirwa for suggesting that the Government should cut down all Khat (Mayirungi) farms in the country, King Saha says this is a source of income for thousands of Ugandans.

Speaking out on a TikTok live video, King Saha attacked Basalirwa for talking about Mayirungi, He warned the Bugiri MP to forget all about the leaf if he wants peace.

King Saha says Basalirwa should forget the farmers since they are the ones that gave him the vote that brought him to Parliament so he should forget them.

Mayirungi or Khat plant is known by a variety of names, such as qat and gat in Yemeni Arabic, qaat and jaad in Somali, and chat in Amharic.

Growing of khat commonly known as mairungi on a large scale can boost household income, a Buganda Kingdom minister has said.
