SC Villa made Meddie Kibirige their third signing when they announced his arrival at the premises of the sixteen time champions on Wednesday 6th October, 2020.
In his words, Meddie had this to say; "Am so glad for joining SC Villa, the decision to join this club was so easy and it is one of the decisions I have been waiting for, joining the champions, the best in the country in terms of league titles and I being a champion, we're going to win trophies."
Kibirige was at Vipers in 2014/2015 season when the Venoms won their second league title and now replaces Samson Kirya who joined the Purple Sharks of Wakiso Giants.
Recently a target of Wasswa Bbosa's Express FC, Kibirige who also played for Aurum Roses, Vipers, now defunct Mutundwe Lions and Baza Holdings joins defender Nasser Lukwago and promising youth Geoffrey Oyirwoth Goffin who joined the Edward Kaziba coached side recently.
At St.Mary's Kitende, Vipers mutually terminated the contract of left winger Duncun Sseninde who had one year left on his deal. Speaking to swift sports website, his agent Denis Namanya of Prosper Sports Agency confirmed the news.
“We have mutually agreed with Vipers SC to terminate my client’s employment contract.”
We would like to thank Vipers for the wonderful time. We are now open to offers from different clubs.”
The 2020/2021 season is scheduled for 17th October, 2020.
