Uganda terribly exited the CHAN tournament on Tuesday with a 5:2 humbling by defending champions Morocco.
Uganda Cranes who entered the match well knowingly that only a win against Morocco would secure them a berth in the quarter finals, went into the lead 25 minutes into half time when Ibrahim Orit fired past goalkeeper Anas Zniti.
Things turned out bad in the next minutes for the Jonathan McKinstry coached Uganda Cranes as Ayoub El Kaabi scored at half Time minutes before Soufiane Rahimi equalized six minutes into second half.
Morocco continued to depreciate Uganda's hopes with a third through Hamza El Moussaoui in the 71st minute as Soufiane Rahimi scored his second to complete his brace.
Uganda got the second through a superb free-kick strike by Said Kyeyune who literally had a wonderful display at the tournament though these hopes were short-lived when Charles Lukwago scored in his own net in last minutes to seal a well deserved win for the defending Champions.
Uganda who drew their opening match against Rwanda were in search for a first win in the tournament since their only one in 2014 and have failed to make it to the Quarter finals in each of the five tournaments they have participated in.
It was another disastrous campaign for the Cranes that have managed only one win in five tournaments in ten years, playing fifteen matches.
To the supporters' surprise, Vincent Mashami, McKinstry's former deputy guided Rwanda to the Quarter finals with a courtesy 3:2 win against Togo.
