Uganda Cranes Through to the Finals of Navruz Cup After Seeing off Tajikistan

Uganda Cranes have on Friday 25th March, 2022 advanced to the finals of the Navruz invitational four nation tournament following a 5:4 penalty shoot-out win against Tajikistan.

The Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic coached side led the match through Emmanuel Okwi's header who embarked on a perfect delivery from Farouk Miya's free-kick to head home.

However, the Uganda Cranes' lead didn't stay long with Tajikistan levelling matters through Alisher Djalilov 31 minutes later.

Uganda Cranes advanced to the finals of the tournament and will learn who their opponent will be between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The finals and third place play offs will be played on Tueday 29th March 2022.
