FIFA and National Referees Undergo Medical and Physical Fitness Tests

As a way forward to professionalize Ugandan football, FUFA has had various programs to keep it's football stakeholders in line with validated standards of the game.

The latest development saw FIFA and FUFA organise medical and physical fitness tests for respective referees as preparations for the new season intensify.

A number totalling to 50 referees (23 FIFA) and the rest national referees attended and underwent the sessions held at Njeru technical center and at Lugogo Stadium in Kampala.

Ronnie Kalema, the Chairman FUFA Referees Standing Committee had this to say of the cause.....

'FUFA is here to deliver refereeing as we professionalize the game. The significance of physical fitness tests is to ensure quality of the referees in the country.’ Kalema noted.

Speaking on is first year anniversary of office in office at Ivy's hotel in Wakaliga -Mengo, FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo said, "to build a generation is by educating it" and with such repeated sessions, it seems the first CAf Executive Committee member is still in line with his promises of developing football.
